Counselor's Corner

WECOME TO COUNSELING!

"When it rains look for rainbows...
when it's dark look for stars."

The elementary school years set the tone for developing the knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary for children to become healthy, competent and confident learners.
Early identification and intervention of children’s academic and social/personal needs help to remove barriers to learning and increase academic achievement.

As an elemetary school counselor, I work with students by providing individual & small group counseling, classroom guidance lessons, and consultation/referral, in an effort to help remove these barriers, encouraging students to reach their full potential.  Some specific areas that may be addressed in counseling include academic motivation, behavioral difficulties, social skills, family changes, and self-esteem.  I also work very closely
with parents, teachers, school staff and the community in an effort to help students achieve academic, social, and personal success and to promote a positive school climate for all.

My door is always open, so please do not hesitate to stop by or contact me with any questions or concerns.
I am extremely excited to be a part of the Elmwood Park School District and am looking forward to meeting and working with all of you this school year!
